About Joseph Riggio

30+ Years Transforming Executive Leaders

Founder · ABTI · Creator of the MythoSelf® Process

Joseph Riggio is not a coach who became famous. He is a builder — of a methodology, of a practice, and of a track record that speaks for itself. Since 1993, he has worked at the leading edge of executive transformation, doing work that has no direct equivalent in the coaching or consulting world.

A methodology built from the ground up — not adapted from anything else.

In 1993, Joseph began formalizing an approach to human transformation that drew from linguistics, behavioral modeling, and ontology. What emerged was the MythoSelf® Process — a proprietary methodology with no direct equivalent in the coaching or consulting world.

The MythoSelf® Process is built on the premise that lasting behavioral change at the executive level requires operating from a fundamentally different self-identity — not new skills layered onto old patterns. The work targets the structural architecture of how a leader experiences themselves, their organization, and what's possible.

Joseph's lineage includes direct study with the founders of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) — Richard Bandler and John Grinder — as well as deep work in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, somatic experience, and ontological coaching. He synthesized these influences into something entirely his own, refined over three decades of direct application with clients at the highest levels of business and leadership.

The programs here are not licensed, delegated, or delivered by proxy. Joseph is present, involved, and accountable for every outcome. Clients do not leave with a framework. They leave having fundamentally shifted what they're capable of.

Today

Application-Only Practice — Quality Over Volume

Joseph works with a deliberately limited number of clients annually. All programs — Unmasking, Epicurea, and the MythoSelf® Process — remain founder-led. The methodology is as sharp as it has ever been, and Joseph is as engaged as he was in 1993.

Why transformation beats traditional coaching — every time.

The core difference
Traditional coaching adds skills to an existing structure. ABTI rebuilds the structure. The distinction is not semantic — it is the difference between incremental improvement and step-change capability. One produces better behavior. The other produces a different person.
Identity before strategy
Most executive programs address behavior and strategy. ABTI addresses identity — the operating framework through which every behavior and strategy flows. Change the framework, and everything built on it changes with it. This is why ABTI clients describe the work as "nothing like coaching."
Founder-led accountability
Joseph does not license the work, deliver it through associates, or franchise the methodology. The reason is simple: the outcome depends on depth of engagement. Joseph is present for every client, every session, every transformation. That is a design decision, not a limitation.
Application-based, not open-enrollment
ABTI programs are not courses anyone can purchase. Every client applies. This is not gatekeeping — it is quality control. The work produces the outcomes it produces because it is done with people who are ready for it.
