Joseph Riggio is not a coach who became famous. He is a builder — of a methodology, of a practice, and of a track record that speaks for itself. Since 1993, he has worked at the leading edge of executive transformation, doing work that has no direct equivalent in the coaching or consulting world.
In 1993, Joseph began formalizing an approach to human transformation that drew from linguistics, behavioral modeling, and ontology. What emerged was the MythoSelf® Process — a proprietary methodology with no direct equivalent in the coaching or consulting world.
The MythoSelf® Process is built on the premise that lasting behavioral change at the executive level requires operating from a fundamentally different self-identity — not new skills layered onto old patterns. The work targets the structural architecture of how a leader experiences themselves, their organization, and what's possible.
Joseph's lineage includes direct study with the founders of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) — Richard Bandler and John Grinder — as well as deep work in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, somatic experience, and ontological coaching. He synthesized these influences into something entirely his own, refined over three decades of direct application with clients at the highest levels of business and leadership.
The programs here are not licensed, delegated, or delivered by proxy. Joseph is present, involved, and accountable for every outcome. Clients do not leave with a framework. They leave having fundamentally shifted what they're capable of.
Joseph formalizes his approach to executive transformation and establishes ABTI as the practice entity. The core framework that would become the MythoSelf® Process is codified — drawing from NLP, behavioral modeling, linguistics, and ontology.
Joseph begins working with C-Suite and senior leadership teams inside Fortune 100 organizations, establishing the methodology's effectiveness in high-stakes corporate environments across finance, technology, and healthcare.
The MythoSelf® Process expands internationally. Joseph begins certifying practitioners who apply the methodology globally, building a practitioner community across five continents while maintaining his own exclusive client practice.
Joseph evolves ABTI's program portfolio, introducing deeper tracks for executives seeking identity-level transformation. The methodology is refined with two decades of direct application insights — sharper, faster, more precise.
Joseph works with a deliberately limited number of clients annually. All programs — Unmasking, Epicurea, and the MythoSelf® Process — remain founder-led. The methodology is as sharp as it has ever been, and Joseph is as engaged as he was in 1993.
